City Building Tools develops simple software services for citizens and professionals to measure and improve their urban surroundings.
Our tools are used by:
- cognitive scientists and geographers to study how people understand and navigate spaces
- urban designers and transportation planners to assess how existing places are used and to collect constituent input on potential changes
- citizens and community groups to advocate for improvements
Our tools embody the expertise of a consultant, guiding groups of users through complex processes, with the goal of changing questions of urban progress from Yes or no? straw-man arguments to How and why? discussions grounded in details.
